Microsoft is back in the game with impressive Windows 7.They released Windows 7 RC and it was first time they were able to deliver what they promised. This time they truly make our machine “simplified”
Microsoft is now offering a free download of Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). You can download it from here.
While there are many ways to download Windows 7 we strongly recommend you to download it directly from Microsoft and if it is not possible then you must do a hash check. A great program to check the hash is HashTab.
But before you install it on your main machine or test machine make sure to note that it have an expiration date and if you already have Windows 7 Beta installed then take a note of the following days
* The Windows 7 Beta version expires August 1, 2009 (bi-hourly shutdowns begin July 1, 2009).
* The Windows 7 RC version expires June 1, 2010 (bi-hourly shutdowns begin March 1, 2010).
If you are running Windows 7 Beta you’ll need to back up your data and then do a clean install of the Windows 7 Release Candidate. Then, you’ll need to reinstall applications and restore your files and when you install the final version of Windows 7 , you’ll need to do a clean installation.( Sure there is a workaround to upgrade BETA or RC, but it is highly recommended to do a clean installation.)
You can also use Windows Easy Transfer.It will automatically copy your files, photos, music, e-mail, settings, and more to your new Windows OS.
